Agua en tierra seca
El pueblo de Dios conoció desiertos literales y espirituales. En el desierto, el agua decide si hay camino o no. Por eso los salmos gritan sed de Dios:
“Como el ciervo brama por las corrientes de las aguas, así clama por ti, oh Dios, el alma mía.” Salmos 42:1
Si hoy sientes sequedad — en la fe, en el matrimonio, en el ánimo — no estás “fuera del mapa bíblico”. Estás en el lugar donde el manantial importa.
Jesús y el agua viva
Jesús le dijo a la mujer junto al pozo:
“El que bebiere del agua que yo le daré, no tendrá sed jamás; sino que el agua que yo le daré será en él una fuente de agua que salte para vida eterna.” Juan 4:14
El manantial no es un programa de la iglesia. El manantial es Cristo. La iglesia solo señala hacia Él, como un oasis marca el agua en el mapa.
Cómo beber en la práctica
- Palabra: lee un salmo despacio esta semana (empieza por el 63 o el 42).
- Oración: dile a Dios con honestidad dónde sientes sed.
- Comunidad: no bebas solo — ven al culto o al discipulado en Anderson.

Water in dry land
God’s people knew literal and spiritual deserts. In the desert, water decides whether there is a path at all. That’s why the psalms cry out with thirst for God:
“As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God.” Psalm 42:1
If you feel dry today — in faith, marriage, or courage — you are not “off the biblical map.” You are in the place where a wellspring matters.
Jesus and living water
Jesus told the woman at the well:
“Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:14
The wellspring is not a church program. The wellspring is Christ. The church only points to Him, the way an oasis marks water on a map.
How to drink in practice
- Word: read a psalm slowly this week (start with 63 or 42).
- Prayer: tell God honestly where you feel thirsty.
- Community: don’t drink alone — join worship or discipleship in Anderson.
